Jenna Fischer's best-known role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular TV show The Office. In appreciation of her performance, she received the Emmy award for Best Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won the award for two SAG Awards.
Her mother, Anne, played in plays at church as a child, which instilled a love for theater and performances in Jenna. Jenna was inspired by her mom's worship services as she began her career.
She is a trained actress who returned to theater after The Office. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. The play was followed by her participation at the premiere world-wide of Steve Martin's newest show Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at The Old Globe Theatre.
In October 2019, Fischer and The Office cast-mate and real-life best friend Angela Kinsey started the podcast Office Ladies on the Earwolf platform. The podcast has since been a huge success, landing in the Top Ten globally every week and gaining over 200 million downloads in the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her experience in Hollywood as a working actor, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends that Were There which is a story of the greatest friendship they had and their experiences watching The Office.
